The eighth monthly installment of “Hazel’s Diary” is out today in the Kansas City Star Sunday paper!
This month’s block is called “Domestic Bliss”:
I began with the traditional block called Wedding Ring, adding and changing some lines, and the topping it with some applique. I used hearts to symbolize Hazel and Dale’s romantic relationship.
This block, like most of the others, uses a combination of actual vintage fabric, reproduction fabrics, and new fabrics for the construction. If you need help with that scalloped frame, please visit the tutorial about it HERE.
Hazel is busy making things for her Hope Chest and going on dates with Dale, while bigger things are going on around her out in the world.
The summer’s most shocking news was the execution of the Rosenberg spies. You can read more about them HERE.
