Shirley J. & Yvonne both visited school with me today. Jim Isaacson is home. So is Gene Jones. Maureen sent me a red sweater blouse. Wore to school today.

Just as I did one year ago, I’m wondering why they’re in school on what we now consider to be a school holiday. Apparently, they did not consider it a holiday back then, but I’m sure glad we do now. She took 2 of her cousins with her to school.

I see she wasted no time in wearing her new gift.

I’m assuming Jim and Gene are home from college away somewhere. The paper had a list of those who were visiting home for the semester break.

As I wish everyone a very Happy New Year, I’d like to take time right now to thank all of you who participated in the Quilt-Along, read the diary, or just visited the blog. It means a lot to me, and made all the work worth it. I’ve really appreciated all the comments, thank yous, and pictures of your work. I hope 2011 brings all of you the greatest of blessings . . .
